wine events
Vin Roché designs private wine tasting experiences for nonprofits in Phoenix and Scottsdale.
If you’re a nonprofit development director or event chair looking for a fresh take on donor stewardship, you already know the problem. Donors have been to a lot of events. The galas, the rubber chicken dinners, the silent auctions, they all start to blur together.
Vin Roché brings a completely different kind of donor appreciation experience to nonprofits across the Phoenix metro area. Our private, guided wine tastings are interactive, mission-aligned, and built entirely around your organization. Whether you’re stewarding major donors, thanking your annual fund supporters, or entertaining your board, we design an evening that feels elevated, intentional, and genuinely memorable.
Our nonprofit wine tasting events in the Phoenix and Scottsdale area include:

Donor Tasting Experiences
These are just a few of our most popular themes. Every Vin Roché tasting can be customized to reflect your mission, your cause, and your donors
Mission Possible
Your mission, in a glass. We build a custom tasting entirely around your cause. A theater company might taste through the regions, inspiring their upcoming season. A women's empowerment organization might pour wines from female winemakers around the world.
bottle shock
What's in the glass? That's for your donors to figure out. This fan-favorite blind tasting challenge breaks your group into teams to debate, guess, and argue their way through the flight, identifying grape varietals, wine regions, and more. Friendly competition never tasted so good.
Passport Series
Take your donors around the globe in a glass, from Tuscany to Temecula, Burgundy to Napa Valley. The Passport Series sparks conversation, tells stories, and creates shared experiences donors remember long after they leave.
Varietal Variety
Same grape, completely different wine. This tasting explores how varietals transform depending on where they're grown, turning a wine flight into an eye-opening conversation about place, land, and craft.
Battle of the Bubbles
Champagne, Prosecco, Cava, and American sparkling side by side. Your donors will debate, vote, and almost certainly change their minds by the final pour.

nonprofitWine Dinners
Elevate your next donor dinner into a multi-course wine experience that wows without feeling excessive.
We partner with top personal chefs to craft evenings designed for the intimate, high-touch moments your major gift relationships deserve. Every course is paired with wines that tell a story, making the night feel like a genuine experience rather than just a meal.

FAQ
Q: How many guests can you accommodate?
A: Groups of 15-100+. Format adjusts based on your team size and venue space.
Q: How long does a nonprofit event last?
A: Typically 60 to 90 minutes for a tasting. Major donor wine dinners run 2 to 3 hours. We can also design shorter 45-minute experiences for events where wine is one element of a larger program.
Q: What if my guests have different wine knowledge levels?
A: Perfect! That's exactly who I design for. Whether you have wine newbies or enthusiasts in the group, I make it engaging for everyone. I read the room and adjust - no one gets talked down to, and no one gets lost in jargon.
Q. What formats do you offer?
A: Donor appreciation tastings, board appreciation events, major donor stewardship dinners, gala wine experiences, fundraising kick-off events, volunteer appreciation tastings, and more.
05
Q: What do you need from our venue?
A: Just table space for wines/glasses and room for attendees to gather. Works in conference rooms, offices, outdoor spaces, or off-site venues.
06
Q: How far in advance should I book?
A: 4-8 weeks is ideal for corporate events to allow time for approvals, wine procurement, and custom presentation creation. Rush requests may be possible - just ask.
07
Q: What's included in your service?
A: Sommelier expertise, custom wine curation, tasting materials, engaging presentation, setup, cleanup, and up to 90 minutes of instruction. Due to Arizona liquor laws, you purchase the wines directly from my wine merchant.
08
Q: What's your cancellation policy?
A: Full refund if canceled 30+ days before your event. 50% refund or free reschedule for 15-29 days' notice. Less than 15 days, deposit is forfeited but rescheduling is available. I'm flexible when plans change - just communicate early.
09
Q: What if some guests don't drink alcohol?
A: No problem at all! Non-drinkers can participate in smelling and learning about the wines, or I provide non-alcoholic alternatives like sparkling cider or N/A wine. Everyone's included and has a great time.
10
Q: How much does it cost?
A: Every event is custom-quoted based on group size, format, and wine selections. Contact me for a personalized proposal with transparent pricing.
11
Q: Can the tasting be tied to our nonprofit’s mission?
A: Absolutely, and this is one of our favorite things to do. We can select wines from regions that connect to your cause, build storytelling around your work, and make the wine itself a vehicle for your mission.
12
Q: What is your service area?
A: I serve the Phoenix metro area. Events in Scottsdale, Phoenix, Paradise Valley, Cave Creek, Carefree, North Phoenix and Tempe are included in standard pricing. Travel fees may apply for other Valley locations.
